Background


The law firm of Edward S. Kahn, Esquire, is proud to carry on a family tradition in the practice of law. Albert B. Kahn first established the Kahn law firm in Trenton in 1924. Edward S. Kahn joined his firm in 1980 and continues his tradition of excellence. His associate, Jeanette Estremera, Esquire, joined the firm in 1989. His daughter, Rachel Kahn, Esquire, MSW joined the firm in 2008.

This well known and highly respected Mercer County law firm has established a solid reputation for reliability and integrity in the practice of law and for dependable and aggressive representation on behalf of their clients. Many years of experience have enabled the firm to develop a unique style of personal attention to clients and flexibility in meeting their needs. Biographical Information


Edward S. Kahn
was born on August 22, 1947, and graduated from Trenton Central High School (Trenton, NJ) in 1965. He received a BA from Amherst College in 1969; an MEd from Rutgers in 1974; an EdD from Rutgers in 1980; and a JD from Rutgers in 1980. He has been in private practice since 1980. He is involved in many community organizations  sits on boards of trustees for several community groups and is a member of various professional associations. His practice is concentrated in catastrophic/serious personal injury law. He also sits as an arbitrator for many types of cases in the courts and privately. He is fluent in Spanish.

Jeanette Estremera
was born on April 21, 1953, and graduated from Montclair State College in 1975, receiving a BA; from Rutgers University in 1980, receiving an EdM; and from Rutgers University in 1988, receiving a JD. In 1988-89, Ms. Estremera was a judicial clerk in the Office of Administrative Law and thereafter has been in private practice with Mr. Kahn. She is involved in various professional organizations including NJ Workers Compensation Inns of Court. Her practice is concentrated in injuries at work (workers compensation) and divorce law. She is fluent in Spanish.

Rachel Kahn was born on July 7, 1978, and graduated from Princeton High School (Princeton, NJ) in 1996.  She received a BA from University of Michigan Residential College in 2000; an MSW from University of Pennsylvania in 2005, and a JD from Temple University in 2008.  She practiced as a social worker prior to starting her career in law.  She joined her father’s law practice in September 2008.  She is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  She is involved in various professional organizations including American Immigration Lawyers Association.  Her practice includes immigration, personal injury, and some municipal court and criminal defense.  She is fluent in Spanish.
